Krnsko jezero

Slovenia's largest high mountain lake and a popular mountaineering destination, Krnsko Lake, is located at an altitude of 1391 meters. The lake of glacial origin is located below Krnj (2244 meters), near the mountain shelter Planinski dom pri Krnsko lakes (1385 meters), the alpine meadow Planina Duple and Dupelsko lakes. It is considered to have some of the most beautiful scenery in the Julian Alps.
